The Fishing is HEATING UP!!! A warm weather trend and rising water temps have turned on the inshore and nearshore bite. We are catching nice varieties of inshore fish and red drum are still in large schools on the flats. Furthermore, there has been a large increase in the amount of bait fish in the creeks and rivers bringing some larger fish closer inshore to feed. We are encouraged by the numbers of spotted sea trout that are being caught throughout the North Edisto River and surrounding creeks along with a few medium sized flounder mixed in as well.
The nearshore reef’s and wrecks continue to hold nice black sea bass, trigger fish, amberjack and cobia. Several species of Grouper and Snapper have also started showing up further out in 70′-80′ of water. Book your next inshore or nearshore reef fishing charter with Drum Runner Charters and get out there to experience some of the best fishing the south east has to offer.
