Warmer Weather = Warmer Water

Happy Monday Lowcountry!!! As the weather continues to warm here in the Charleston area so does the water temperatures in our local water ways.  Here at Bohicket Marina our water temp’s are in the mid to low 60’s. As the water warms up, the near-shore and in-shore bite turns on. Reports of 25lb+ Redfish, 20+ inch weakfish have shown up out at the Near Shore Reef. Plenty of keeper Black Sea Bass and Sheepshead can be found out there as well!  Local inshore fishing reports documented some large bull redfish, small spotted sea trout and even small flounder already staging in and around creek mouths and oyster beds along the North Edisto River. Keep an eye out for happy bait moving into the area during the next month and make sure to get out there and book your next fishing charter with Captain Harry Demosthenes and Captain Jon O’Brien of Drum Runner Charters at Bohicket Marina & Market.
